Independent Service Funds
Clover Support Group has joined the group of care providers who are on the framework for Independent Service Funds (ISFs). This framework offers service user greater choice and control over how their care and support is arranged. Within a domiciliary care agency, an ISF means that the individual’s personal budget is held by the agency on their behalf, rather than being managed directly by the local authority or the individual themselves. Clover Support Group always endeavour to work closely with the service user to design and deliver a care package that reflects their needs, preferences, and lifestyle. Unlike traditional care arrangements, ISFs allow for a more personalised and flexible approach. Individuals can decide how, when, and by whom their care is delivered—whether that’s through set routines or more creative and responsive support options.
ISFs encourage partnership working between the person and the care provider. The agency supports not only the delivery of care but also helps the individual explore meaningful outcomes, such as building independence, engaging in the community, or pursuing personal goals.
For domiciliary care providers, offering ISFs is a way to move beyond task-based care and truly focus on person-centred support. Let me know if you’d like this adapted into a brochure, website content, or a staff training guide.
